Amala Center Nepal

Who we are

Amala Center Nepal has been improving the lives of children, young monks, and families in Nepal through education, healthcare support, and essential living assistance since 2020.

Our Team

Amala Center Nepal is guided by a dedicated group of spiritual leaders, professionals, and community members who share a commitment to compassion, service, and community development. The organization continues to grow through the collective efforts of its founding members, current leadership, advisors, and supporters.

Amala Center Nepal is committed to creating meaningful and lasting change for communities across Nepal, particularly for those who need support the most. Our team members in Nepal have strong connections with local communities and understand where assistance can make the greatest impact. All board members, administrators, and volunteers of Amala Center Nepal generously offer their time and service on a voluntary basis. Volunteers cover their own travel and accommodation expenses so that donations can be directed fully toward programs and community initiatives.

The Amala Center Nepal team works closely with H.E Gegye Yongal Rinpoche to deliver support directly to the communities most in need. Through their knowledge, dedication, and community engagement, our members help ensure that resources and initiatives reach the areas where they can make the most meaningful difference.

Founder and President

H.E. Gegye Yongyal Tulku Rinpoche is a revered Buddhist master, scholar, and humanitarian whose life is a living expression of compassion, wisdom, and selfless service. Born in 1992 — the Water Monkey Year — to a deeply religious Gegye family in the holy land of Nepal, near the great Boudhanath Stupa, Rinpoche showed many auspicious signs at birth. Gegyeyongyalrinpoche His arrival into this world was recognized from the very beginning as something extraordinary.

His first name was given by H.H. Drubwang Penor Rinpoche, who at that very moment acknowledged to Rinpoche’s mother that this was a very special child. At the age of seven, Rinpoche was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous Gegye Yongyal Rinpoche by a wandering Terton Lama of Kham. Gegyeyongyalrinpoche This recognition connected him to an ancient and unbroken lineage of awakened masters stretching back through centuries of Himalayan Buddhist tradition.

As the third seat reincarnate Trulku of Gegye Tashi Choling Monastery in Nyari, at the foot of Mount Kailash, Rinpoche was formally enthroned at the monastery, and His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa conducted his hair-cutting and name-giving ceremony in India. New York Insight Meditation Center In 2010, Rinpoche enrolled at Bokar Monastery under the guidance of Kyabje Bokar Khenchen Lodoe Donyo Rinpoche, Gegyeyongyalrinpoche deepening his mastery of sacred texts and contemplative practice under some of the most respected teachers of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
