The Fourth World Peace Prayer at Amala Center Nepal

Continuing the expanding series of compassionate prayer gatherings dedicated to the wellbeing of all beings, Gegye Yongyal Rinpoche organized the Fourth World Peace Prayer on December 21, 2023 in Boudha, Nepal.

This special gathering took place at the newly established Amala Center Nepal, located in the Arab Bank area of Boudha, near the sacred Boudhanath Stupa—one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Himalayan Buddhist world.

For this occasion, more than fifty monks assembled together under the leadership of Rinpoche to perform traditional prayers, chanting, and rituals dedicated to world peace, the liberation of the deceased, and the wellbeing of all sentient beings.

The prayer ceremony marked an important moment for the Amala Center Nepal, as it became a new spiritual space where practitioners, monks, and devotees could gather for Dharma practice, meditation, and compassionate activities benefiting the wider community.

With the collective voices of the monastic sangha echoing in prayer, the ceremony continued Rinpoche’s growing tradition of World Peace Prayers, bringing together spiritual practitioners to generate merit, compassion, and harmony for the world.

Through these repeated gatherings—from sacred stupas to newly established centers—Rinpoche’s aspiration remains unwavering:

to offer prayers freely for the benefit of all beings and to cultivate peace, compassion, and spiritual awakening throughout the world.
